Welcome and thank you for visiting my website! I have been a practicing clinical social worker since 1992, working in a variety of settings with both adolescents and adults, including an HIV clinic, a juvenile justice setting, and crisis counseling center. I opened my private practice in 2010, working with both couples and individuals. At this time I only work with adults.
My specialties include mood disorders, trauma, and marriage and relationship difficulties. I am an LGBTQ ally, work with the poly community, and am kink aware.
My mission is to provide caring, compassionate care within a non-judgmental environment. We know through research that successful therapy results less from what you say than the relationship that is developed between clients and their therapists. My strength is my ability to establish those relationships within the therapeutic environment.
A particular interest of mine is keeping abreast of all the latest developments in neuroscience as it relates to therapy. There is a growing body of developments in this area that I find very exciting.
I’m providing virtual sessions only. My co-therapist is my dog I rescued from the side of the road in Nepal. She will always be found curled up by my side.
